Gregoire Michaud's bakery, and the reason there is usually a queue on Tai Wong Street East. Eight branches now, but Wan Chai is the original and the only one with dine-in - the others are takeaway counters.

Vibe

Brown brick, open kitchen, and a line most of the day that moves faster than it looks. Go early for a seat; go any time for the egg tart, which people buy by the box.
